On this feature packed full day tour from Chiang Mai you will get to do some involved jungle trekking as well as spending some quality time with some well cared for elephants at the elephant camp. You will also get to experience some bamboo rafting on the Win River!
TOUR DESCRIPTION
You will need to get ready for an early start as we have a lot to pack into this fun day out in the jungles east of Chiang Mai. You will be collected from your hotel by the guide and driver team and driven one hour west of the city to the stunning Mae Wang area on route we will make a brief stop at a local Thai market to grab a morning coffee or other snacks. The first stop of the day will be at the elephant camp expect to spend around 2-3 hours here, you will get to feed the elephants their daily vitamin snacks as well as bath play with the elephants in the river/mud and just spend some quality time with well cared for elephants. On completion of the elephant activities it will be time to try some bamboo rafting on the Win! Depending on season and speed of the river you will spend 40-60 minutes floating your way through jungle and thia rural riverside life in this spectacularly beautiful area. The rafts sit low in the water so expect to get a little wet and best come prepared with a swimsuit or clothes you will get wet in. At the end of the rafting you will be hungry! so it will be time to take a tasty, revitalising lunch ready for the afternoons trek. On the trek you will trek through both rice paddies and through jungle and will get to stop at two waterfalls of which one is good for swimming most of the year, so again be prepared with a swimsuit if you want to refresh in the cool waters cascading from these jungle waterfalls. The treks duration is around 3 hours and you can expect to be back in Chiang Mai by 6:00pm.
