Upon arrival at the sanctuary, change into traditional Karen attire and immerse yourself in the local culture. Join hands-on activities by preparing food for the elephants, feeding them, and learning about their history, behavior, and the sanctuary's ethical approach to elephant care. Enjoy a refreshing stop at a nearby waterfall before relaxing with herbal tea as you observe the elephants peacefully roaming in their natural habitat. Complete your cultural experience by creating a traditional Thai handicraft to take home as a souvenir.
After a delicious local lunch, continue to Doi Inthanon National Park, home to Thailand's highest peak. Take in the cool mountain air while visiting the iconic Twin Royal Pagodas and beautifully landscaped botanical gardens. Then embark on the scenic Pha Dok Siew Nature Trail, where you'll discover lush forests, terraced rice fields (seasonal), and a picturesque waterfall. - Drive approximately 1.5 hours South of Chiang Mai
- Change into traditional Karen clothing and receive a briefing about the sanctuary and the Elephants by our knowledgeable tour guides
- Participate in preparing food and snacks for the elephants, a hands-on experience
- Enjoy feeding the elephants while maintaining a safe distance, as you learn about their history and understand their behavior
- Watch the elephants’ daily routine, which might involve observing them as they look for food in the jungle, bathe with the mahouts, or relax in the mud as they bond within the herd
