TOUR DESCRIPTION

We’ll start the day early, joining the city’s monks on their morning alms rounds. Your local guide will collect you from your accommodation and take you to the nearby market to select suitable offerings. From there, we’ll head into the old town, where you’ll have the chance to participate in this meaningful ritual. The monks depend on alms for their daily meals, while givers receive a blessing in return.

After the ceremony, we’ll visit Wat Sri Suphan, the ‘Silver Temple,’ beautifully adorned with intricate silverwork crafted by local artisans. Next, enjoy a traditional Thai breakfast before continuing by local transport—tuk-tuks, songtaews, and some walking—to explore more of Chiang Mai’s most iconic temples. Highlights include Wat Phra Singh, a spiritual hub for locals, and Wat Chedi Luang, once the tallest structure in the city and still home to an impressive chedi.

We’ll then head to Chiang Mai’s bustling central market, where you can sample street food and browse stalls overflowing with fresh and dried goods. Around noon, the tour concludes with a return transfer to your hotel.
