Begin the day early by joining the monks’ morning alms ritual. The tour continues with a visit to Doi Suthep, Chiang Mai’s most iconic temple, along with stops at a lively local market and several historic temples in the old city.

Get ready for an early start as we join the monks on their morning alms rounds through the old city. With guidance from your local host, you’ll learn how to take part in this meaningful ritual. Afterward, we’ll head west along a winding mountain road to Doi Suthep, Chiang Mai’s most iconic temple. Visiting in the cool morning air, you’ll enjoy the serene atmosphere before the crowds arrive, with time to admire the gleaming golden stupa, countless Buddha images, and—weather permitting—sweeping views over the city.

Following our temple visit, we’ll return down the mountain for a traditional Thai breakfast at a local eatery. Later, we’ll explore Wat Chedi Luang, home to one of Chiang Mai’s most impressive stupas, and Wat Sri Suphan, the striking ‘Silver Temple’ located in the city’s traditional silversmith district.

To end the morning, we’ll wander through the bustling Warorot Market (Kad Luang), a centuries-old trading hub still thriving today. Here, you’ll see vendors selling everything from fresh produce and dried goods to local specialties beloved by Chiang Mai’s residents.”
