Why are these treks different?

	We aim to provide a truly unique and genuine Chiang Mai trekking experience while ensuring the communities we visit benefit from the trekkers which pass through their village.
	We do everything possible to ensure the communities in these village maintain their tradition ways and daily routines without them resorting to ‘in your face’ trinket selling to make a quick buck. We work closely with the communities to ensure they benefit fairly while maintaining their traditional ways, after all that is the reason we have chosen these areas and villages to trek in and we want them to stay the way they are. Through small projects we have set up with the villages we hope your presence in these communities will be a positive and beneficial experience for everyone.
	We stay in local home stays and village dwellings and we fairly compensate the villages for their services, we use local porters, services of local guides and cooks where possible.
	10% of profits will be donated to worthy community projects, hill tribe schools and a children HIV orphanage, some of these projects you can visit and you will be encouraged to help out
	We trek in the Chiang Dao Area well away form the heavily trekked Chiang Mai trekking routes of Mae Tang, Samueng, Sanpatong and Doi Inthanon and keep group sizes small. We do not trek through these villages everyday.

Cost
This community based approach trekking trip is more expensive but we do not feel the need to drive down the price and cut costs at the expense of your trekking experience and the benefits to the communities we visit. We travel further, pay all staff a fare salary, keep group sizes small and donate 10% of profits to local projects and good causes. Please bare this in mind when comparing prices.
