PHU PING PALACE OVERVIEW
Situated just beyond Doi Suthep Temple, Phuping
Palace is often combined with a visit to the temple at Doi
Suthep. Phuping Palace was built in1961
as a winter residence for the Royal family as
well as a guest quarters for prominent state
visitors from abroad. Surrounded by landscaped
flower gardens the temperature is usually very
comfortable here situated at altitude above
the planes of Chiang Mai. The Palace is surrounded
by a lavishly landscaped flower garden. |

VISITING PHU PING PALACE
Visiting Phu Ping Palace Chiang Mai
Phuping Palace is situated about 8 km further up the road from Doi Suthep Temple (about 25 KM from Chiang Mai)
If you want to make your own way there and do not have your own transport then you can charter a Songtaew (red pick up) flag an empty one down in town and agree a price beforehand (usually around 6-700 Baht). You will probably want to combine the visit with a trip to Doi Suthep temple and maybe the White Hmong Village which is also on the mountain.
