Situated just beyond Doi Suthep Temple, Phuping Palace is often combined with a visit to Doi Suthep temple. Phuping Palace was built in1961 as a winter residence for the Royal family as well as a guest quarters for prominent state visitors from abroad. Surrounded by landscaped flower gardens the temperature is usually very comfortable here situated at altitude above the planes of Chiang Mai. The Palace is surrounded by a lavishly landscaped flower garden.
